https://www.mcrent.de/speed/login.jsp
You will require the McRent confirmation number in order to complete the online form. You can find this number on your invoice/booking confirmation or travel documents.
When calculating the total price all rental days are added up according to the number of days that fall within each 'season'. The pick-up and drop-off days are counted as one day in total as long as the sum of these two days does not exceed 24 hours, i.e. the rates are counted on a nightly basis in the same way that hotels do this. Every night is charged according to the season that applies to that night.
The cancellation fees apply as stated in Motorhome Bookers' booking conditions.
If the vehicle is collected later than the pick-up day booked, or returned earlier than booked no refunds will be provided.

All rental rates include third party vehicle insurance with cover up to a maximum of € 100 million for damage to third party vehicles as well as separate vehicle insurance for damage caused by the renter to the rental vehicle. The excess that applies to any vehicle damage (damaged caused to the vehicle by the renter) is limited to € 1,700.
For any damage resulting from hail, break-ins, accidents with animals, windscreen damage, etc (i.e. 'external influence' or 'freak' damage excluding damage caused by other people to the rental vehicle) the excess is limited to € 1,700. Any damage to the tyres or the underbody of the vehicle is not insured and must be paid for by the renter.
In the case of vehicle theft the rental company reserves the right to charge 10% of the rental vehicle value up to a maximum of € 5,000.
The general regulations governing insurance in Italy apply as the foundation for this insurance policy. There are no additional insurance options available to reduce or waive the excess. The excess applies to each incident and will be charged separately if more than one incident occurs.
If an accident occurs with another vehicle or the driver of another vehicle flees the scene, the renter is liable up to the limit of the excess. The excess is deducted in the first instance - regardless of who is at fault.
The excess is deducted separately for each individual incident within the upper limit.
It is reimbursed as soon as the rental company receives any damage payments from a third party, which can take some time.
You are required to provide a deposit of € 1,700 (to cover the excess) when you pick up the vehicle and this can only be done with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Maestro Bancomat only). You will not be able to pick up your motorhome unless you present a valid credit card. Prepaid credit cards are NOT accepted!
The deposit is deducted from the credit card at pick-up and if the vehicle is returned in good condition it will be credited back. All credit card deductions are processed in Euros. Neither the rental company nor the tour operator is liable to pay any cost differences that occur between the cost of the deducted bond and the reimbursement which result from foreign exchange fluctuations or external fees.
Please ensure you have adequate available credit on your credit card.
The deposit is reimbursed in entirety by McRent as long as the motorhome is returned with full fuel tanks, clean and undamaged. The rental company reserves the right to charge fees for any damage, necessary cleaning fees, late drop-off and fines incurred during the rental period, etc. These fees are deducted from the credit card in arrears.
All insurance cover is null and void if the terms of the McRent rental agreement are breached. Any damage that is caused when the renter acts outside of the rental company conditions is not covered by the insurance.
Any water and/or saltwater related damage where the renter is at fault is not covered by the insurance. The insurance does not cover damage in the case of any vehicle submersion, the vehicle being stranded in a water area, driving through causeways or beach driving.
Any personal property that is damaged or stolen during an accident, vandalism or a theft is not insured. Private insurance should be purchased in your home country to cover any such issues. In order to avoid theft of personal items from the vehicle it is advised not to leave any valuable items in the vehicle.
The insurance does not cover damage in the following cases:
- any vehicle submersion, the vehicle being stranded in a water area
- damage resulting from creek or river crossings, driving through causeways or beach driving
- activities that are in breach of the rental agreement conditions, e.g. driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or dangerous driving (especially with regard to trailers and camping appendages)
- when the driver leaves an accident scene without reporting the incident to the police (hit and run)
- damage caused by the use of the wrong fuel or when water or oil, etc are not topped up to minimum required levels (causing overheating, frost damage, etc) or where warning signals in the vehicle are ignored
- costs that arise for towing and recovery of vehicles that have been stranded or submerged as a result of the driver's negligence
- repairs and towing costs that are incurred because of driving on unpermitted roads or in forbidden areas
- damage to the interior of the vehicle
- damage to the roof (including TV antenna) or underbody
- tyre damage that is not a result of faults in the welding
- glass damage (lights or other glass)
- costs for vehicle keys that have either been lost or locked in the vehicle
- if people drive the car who have not been registered in the rental agreement
- damage as a result of the vehicle participating in motor sports events and vehicle tests
- damage is due to a failure to take account of the Vehicle’s dimensions
- personal property that is damaged in an accident or is either stolen or damaged during theft is not insured
The renter is liable for any fees, costs, fines or penalties that occur during his/her use of the rental vehicle unless any such costs that have taken place are the fault of the rental company.
If speeding tickets and parking fines and/or accidents, etc (e.g. that have not been mentioned to the rental company) come to light the rental company reserves the right to invoice the customer for these costs in arrears as well as a processing fee or charge their credit card.
The insurance options offered by the rental company do not include luggage insurance, nor do they include cover for any damage to passengers. It is therefore recommended to obtain travel insurance that covers accidents, sickness and loss of luggage prior to departure.
All drivers must have held their driving licence for a minimum of 1 year for the respective vehicle category being booked. Drivers from outside the EU who have NO European Driving Licence (such as Australian, New Zealand, American and Canadian licence holders etc.) MUST present an international driving licence at pick-up along with their original national driving licence. Drivers from the EU with a European Driving Licence will only need to present their original national driving licence. We suggest you get in contact with the respective authority for that country before travelling.
Important note for UK licence holders:
From 08 Jun 15, the paper counterpart to the photocard UK driving licence will not be valid and no longer be issued by DVLA. Due to insurance reasons, the rental company requires the information formerly listed on the paper counterpart. You can check your details online www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence no more than 3 days before collection, print a copy of your counterpart and bring it with you when you pick up your vehicle.
The minimum age for any registered drivers is 21 years for all vehicle types except for Premium types. All registered drivers must have been in possession of a valid national driving licence for at least 1 year prior to the pick-up date.
For the vehicle types Premium the minimum age is 25 years. All registered drivers must have been in possession of a valid national driving licence for at least 3 year prior to the pick-up date.
There are no additional costs for registering up to 1 additional driver. Anyone wishing to drive the motorhome must have his/her details entered in the rental agreement.
The renter is required to provide the name and address of any driver (even if they only drive the vehicle briefly) to the rental company. The renter is responsible and liable for the actions of any of the other registered driver.
Before you can receive your vehicle you are required to present a valid driving licence, credit card (compulsory), your passport as well as the Motorhome Bookers voucher at the depot.
Please note carefully the maximum number of passengers allowed per vehicle as per the details provided when you click on the picture of your vehicle or view the vehicle specifications on the 'Vehicle Comparison' page in the McRent Italy section on our website.

All information provided here is based on the information provided to us by the rental company. We cannot be held responsible for any errors or miscommunication that may occur and the information on our website can be amended at any time without prior notice.
The vehicles are only permitted for use on sealed, public, official roads. You can drive your motorhome within Europe at no extra cost.
If you wish to drive to Eastern European or Non-European countries you are required to obtain prior approval from the rental company (please inform them of this intention when you make your booking) and you will be required to purchase a special insurance option in these cases. You will then be required to accept certain conditions and provide your signature accordingly (e.g. that you will only park the vehicle at locations with video surveillance, etc).

The renter is liable for any costs of repairs, retrieval or towing that are a result of break-downs or accidents in these areas and no insurance cover is provided. One-way rentals (vehicle pick-up at location 'A' and drop-off at location 'B') are not available.
All of the rental vehicles (except for the vehicle categories Urban and Compact) can handle winter conditions, i.e. they are built with a reinforced floor, etc. In the winter months the facilities such as shower or toilet can be used.
Please note, however, that there is no insurance cover provided if any damage occurs as a result of freezing, etc, e.g. if you do not maintain a high enough average temperature in the vehicle to avoid damage to tanks, water heating apparatus and hosing this will count as negligence and there is no insurance cover then provided, i.e. the renter will be fully liable to cover all costs incurred.
Please allow for the fact - when planning out your route, that campgrounds in certain areas may close during the winter. Some roads, especially in alpine areas may also be closed for driving or may be simply too dangerous to drive on.

The kitchen equipment consists of: crockery and cutlery for 4-6 people (depending on which vehicle you book), coffee pot, glasses, filters, cutting board, vegetable knife, bread knife, can opener, bottle opener, corkscrew, pots, small pan, bowls, kettle.
These items can also be rented and paid for directly when you pick up the vehicle. However, there is no guarantee that they will be available at that stage.
